Survey and strip-out
The former toilet and changing block was opened up so the existing structure and failed floor could be assessed.
Floor and structural preparation
The failed floor is being replaced with new hardcore, drainage, insulation and concrete, alongside goalpost steelwork.
New pitched roof and enclosure
New steels and timber trusses will replace the removed concrete roof and form the pitched roof.
Annex, garage and handover
The building will be finished as a one-bedroom annex, double garage and separate outside storage area.
LME is carrying out a complete renovation and conversion of a former school toilet and changing block at the Old School House in South Kyme.
The existing concrete roof has been removed and the failed floor will be rebuilt with new hardcore, drainage, insulation and concrete. A goalpost steel structure, new steels and timber trusses will support the new pitched roof.
The finished layout will include a self-contained annex with kitchen and living space, one bedroom, bathroom, dressing area and patio doors, alongside a double garage and separate outside storage.
